How to add a BlackBerry Enterprise Server user to the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System Server for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1

Verify that the BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System user has a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server user account and the BlackBerry MVS Client has been properly installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.

In order for a BlackBerry MVS user to be provisioned properly, a BlackBerry MVS user account must be created on the BlackBerry MVS Server. To add a BlackBerry MVS user to the BlackBerry MVS Server, complete the following steps:

BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS) 4.6.1

  1. In the BlackBerry MVS console, in the left pane, click Users.
  2. Click Configure a new User.
  3. To apply template settings to the BlackBerry MVS user account, in the Select Template drop-down list, select a template.
  4. To apply class of service settings to a BlackBerry MVS user account, in the Select Class Of Service drop-down list, select a class of service.
  5. To search for a BlackBerry Enterprise Server user's name, in the Username Search Filter field, type a BlackBerry Enterprise Server user account name or display name. Click Search.
  6. In the Username section, select a BlackBerry Enterprise Server user account.
  7. Click Configure.
  8. On the General tab, configure the settings.

    Note: Fields marked with a red asterisk are required.

  9. Click Next.
  10. On the Template Settings tab, configure the settings. Any changes that you make to the template settings apply only to the BlackBerry MVS user account that you are adding.
  11. Click Next.
  12. On the Class of Service tab, in the Class Of Service Name drop-down list, select a class of service. Click Submit.

    Note: Verify that the BlackBerry smartphone data has been configured correctly on the BlackBerry MVS Server (personal identification number and MIN).

BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS) 5.0 or 5.1

  1. In the MVS Console, in the left pane, expand Users.
  2. Click Add.
  3. To see all available BlackBerry® Enterprise Server user accounts, click Search.
  4. In the Template drop-down list, click a template.
  5. In the Class Of Service drop-down list, click a class of service.
  6. In the MVS Server drop-down list, click a server.
  7. In the Telephony Connector drop-down list, click a telephony connector.
  8. In the Voice Mail Connector drop-down list, click a voice mail connector.
  9. Select the check box beside each BlackBerry Enterprise Server user account that you want to add.
  10. If necessary, configure the settings for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server user accounts that you selected. Fields that are marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
  11. Click Add MVS User(s).
