When making a call from the BlackBerry® smartphone while paired with an Acura Bluetooth® Car Kit, audio is not heard on the hands free system until the outgoing connection has been established. The only way to know whether the connection to the receiver has been made is to hear their voice through the hands free system. No dial tone is present when making a call using the BlackBerry smartphone handset.

This is intended Acura® Car Kit behavior. When a call is placed from the Acura Car Kit, the functionality works as expected. However, when a call is placed from the BlackBerry smartphone the Car Kit places the call into Privacy Mode, and routes the audio back to the BlackBerry smartphone.
