Password Keeper is an optional BlackBerry smartphone application that uses AES encryption technology to securely store password entries on BlackBerry smartphones. It has been designed to archive various passwords that BlackBerry users want to organize and recall. Due to the sensitive nature of the content that is typically entered into the Password Keeper, the application is further secured by having a single mandatory password that the BlackBerry smartphone user must enter before opening Password Keeper (or after unlocking the BlackBerry smartphone if it automatically locked with the Password Keeper application open). This password can be generated randomly, using a variety of associated options.

When a BlackBerry smartphone user creates a new password entry in Password Keeper, they can complete the Title, Username, Password, Website, and Notes fields. The Title and Password fields are required while the Username, Website and Notes fields are optional. Once the information has been entered, the password entry can be saved and committed to the Password Keeper database.
