After changing the default font on the BlackBerry smartphone, the text in the body of new email messages is displayed in a font different than the default font of the BlackBerry smartphone.
This is expected behavior for BlackBerry smartphones that have HTML email support.
To disable HTML email support, complete the following steps:
For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0:
- Open Messages on the BlackBerry smartphone.
- Press the Menu key and choose Options.
- Select Email Settings.
- Change HTML email from Yes to No.
- Press the Menu key and choose Save.
For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry 6.0 to 7.1:
- Open Messages on the BlackBerry smartphone.
- Press the Menu key and choose Options.
- Select Email Preferences.
- Under HTML Email uncheck Enable HTML Email
- Press the Menu key and choose Save.
