Each time the computer restarts, the Windows Installer prepares to install Roxio® Media Manager for BlackBerry® smartphones.
This is caused by an incomplete installation of BlackBerry® Desktop Manager 5.0 to 5.0.1.
To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:
- Complete a selective services startup of the Windows OS ( Start > Run > type msconfig).
- Click the Services tab. Clear all non-Microsoft Corporation services check boxes.
- Restart the computer.
- Remove the BlackBerry® Desktop Software. For instructions, see KB02206.
- Complete the opposite of steps 1 and 2 by re-checking all services in msconfig ( Start > Run > type msconfig > Services tab).
- Restart the computer.
- Reinstall the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
