How to block and unblock contacts using BlackBerry Messenger

To block a contact in BlackBerry Messenger, complete the following steps:

  1. Open BlackBerry Messenger.
  2. Highlight the contact.
  3. Display the menu.
  4. Select Delete Contact.
  5. Select the ignore future invites from this user check box.
  6. Select Delete.

Important: These steps are only available after a personal identification number (PIN) has been marked to ignore future invites.

To unblock a contact in BlackBerry Messenger, complete the following steps:
  1. Open BlackBerry Messenger.
  2. Display the menu, and select Options.
  3. Scroll to Ignored Contacts.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Select the PIN of the user. This will put a check mark beside it.
  6. Select OK.
