Mass Storage Mode allows a Media Card (and Device Memory on some models) as a storage drive on the computer so files can be copied from the computer to the BlackBerry smartphone (or from the BlackBerry to your computer). In order to use Mass Storage Mode to copy files to/from the BlackBerry smartphone perform the following steps

1. Confirm Mass Storage Mode is enabled on the BlackBerry smartphone

a. Open the Options application and select Media Card (or Memory).
b. Set Media Card Support to "On".

Additional steps for Device Software 4.2 to 5.0

b. Set Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected to "Prompt".

2. Press Back and Save the changes.
3. Plug the BlackBerry smartphone into the computer via USB cable.

For Device Software 4.2 to 5.0

a. When prompted to turn on Mass Storage Mode, choose Yes.

For Device Software 6.0 to 7.1
