When attempting to view an intranet site on a BlackBerry® smartphone with BlackBerry 6 or 7, the site cannot be viewed and the following error is received:
Website cannot be found.
OR
The requested URL could not be retrieved, Sorry, we couldn't find the web page that you requested. Make sure that you typed the web address correctly, and try again.
Error Code: 10006.
Modify an existing IT Policy, or create a new IT Policy which includes the following:
- Within the Browser policy group, set the MDS Browser Domains rule to contain the appropriate domain name for the internal sites, example: www.blackberry.com, or .mycompany.com to allow all sub-domains of a website. To specify multiple addresses or domains, separate each address or domain with a comma (,)
- Note : The IT Policy rule cannot process a top level domain name only such as .com, .net or .xyz only. A subdomain must be included, e.g., subdomain.com, companywebsite.net or myportal.xyz
- Apply the IT Policy containing this rule to the affected BlackBerry Smartphone users.
Note: This rule will force all traffic to the specified domain to go through the BlackBerry Browser transport, and then direct that traffic through the Mobile Data Service Connection Service on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
