Unable to post a tweet while using Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones

When the BlackBerry® smartphone user tries to post a tweet while using Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones, the following error appears:

The username/password combination provided is incorrect. Please try again

The BlackBerry smartphone user is using an older version of Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones.

This issue has been addressed by Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones 1.0.0.45.

To update to the latest release of Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones, complete the following steps:

  1. Open Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones.
  2. Press the Menu key and select Options.
  3. Scroll down and select Check for Update.
  4. Follow the prompts to upgrade to the latest release of Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones.
