- BlackBerry App World™ storefront
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server 5.0 SP2
The Application Restriction Rule is an IT Policy which enables an administrator to create a list of applications in BlackBerry App World™ that can be allowed or denied. This rule can be found in the BlackBerry App World tab in IT Policies.
To create a list you will need to know all the Application ID's or Vendor ID of the applications you need to allow or deny.
To find these ID's, browse to the application in the App World Webstore.
The Application ID is displayed in the URL bar at the top of the Internet Browser like the example below it would be Application ID 19435 for BlackBerry® Bridge™:
Example: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/19435?lang=en
Note: The App World Application ID is 1. This Application ID when set would deny or allow the App World content.
