Social Feeds, YouTube or BlackBerry Podcasts are missing after an upgrade to BlackBerry 6

After the BlackBerry® Device Software installer package is downloaded from the wireless service provider and an update is performed from BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 to BlackBerry Device Software 6.0, Social Feeds, YouTube®, and BlackBerry® Podcasts applications might be missing if the upgrade was performed using BlackBerry 6 and later.

To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:

  1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
  2. Launch the BlackBerry® Desktop Software.
  3. Click Applications.
  4. Add the missing applications to the window on the right.
  5. Apply the changes.

Wireless software updates (see www.blackberry.com/update), BlackBerry Desktop Software 5.0.1, and the automatic upgrade feature of BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 and later are not affected by this.
