Using an auto-signature for email is a great way to streamline message composition and give a more uniform and professional appearance to the body of a message. As an added feature, auto-signatures can be modified directly from the BlackBerry smartphone.

After making modifications to an auto-signature on the BlackBerry smartphone, it is possible that these changes may not take effect on an email sent immediately after the change is made.

CollapseCause
Auto-signatures are not stored on the BlackBerry smartphone itself but are actually stored in the BlackBerry Configuration Database. It could take a few minutes in order for these changes to sync with the appropriate table in the database and this can cause a delay in applying the correct data when the message is sent.
