When logging in to Windows Live™ Messenger the following error may appear shortly after the user's contact list is displayed:
Internal Error. Please try again later.
An error in an older version Windows Live Messenger may have caused corruption within the user's Address Book database. Upgrading to a newer version of Windows Live Messenger will still cause the error message to occur as the corruption lies within the device's Address Book.
To perform the following workaround the user will need to have their contacts synchronized to a 3rd party program. See KB12268 for a list of supported applications.
Backup the BlackBerry® smartphone
Delete the “Address Book – All” database from the device
Configure Desktop Software to perform a one-way synchronization TO the device
