The BlackBerry PlayBook supports the following authentication methods for access to private, public and corporate Wi-Fi® networks.

Supported Wi-Fi Protocols:

• 802.11a (5 GHz, 54 Mbps)
• 802.11b (2.4 GHz, 11 Mbps)
• 802.11g (2.4 GHz, 54 Mbps)
• 802.11n (2.4/5 GHz, 54 to 600 Mbps)

Note: Mbps rating is based on theoretical maximum under perfect conditions, real world results will vary.

PEAP methods supported:

• EAP–MSCHAPv2
• EAP–GTC

EAP-TTLS methods supported:

• EAP–MSCHAPv2
• MSCHAPv2

EAP-FAST method supported:

• EAP–MSCHAPv2
• EAP–GTC

The following Cryptographic protocols are supported:

• WEP
• WPA Personal and Enterprise
• WPA2 Personal and Enterprise
