- Facebook® for BlackBerry® PlayBook™
The following are highlights of new features in Facebook® for BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet 2.0:
Facebook Places
Users can now share where they are directly from their BlackBerry PlayBook using Facebook Places in Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook. Facebook Places uses location-based technology on your BlackBerry PlayBook to view nearby places and see if friends are nearby. Users also have the option of tagging friends when they check into a location and comment on their own, or other friend's check-ins. By clicking the map of a location in Facebook Places users will be able to get directions and launch Bing Maps.
Facebook Events
Facebook events are now viewable directly from Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Items like invitations, upcoming events and birthday reminders can be clicked to view details about the event and even comment on the event wall.
View Likes
Names of friends who have liked posts are now viewable on Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Tapping their name will also open the user's profile.
Privacy control on status updates
New privacy controls allow users to control who can see each update posted through Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook. To select who can view the update tap the lock icon in the lower-right corner of the status publisher.
