After updating to JRE 1.6.0_29 BlackBerry MDS/CS and IM services stop working

CollapseOverview
After finishing the installation or applying JRE 1.6.0_29 to the server on which BlackBerry® Enterprise Server is located, BlackBerry® MDS Connection Services and Instant Messaging fail to start.

An incompatible version of the JRE is installed, or the JRE has been recently updated on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
CollapseWorkaround

Roll back to the previous working version of Java® Runtime Environment (JRE).
CollapseAdditional Information
The MDS/CS Services appear to be running, but MDS and IM log files are not created and the services are not functional.
