The Compass application is missing after performing a security wipe on a BlackBerry smartphone

When performing a security wipe on a BlackBerry® smartphone the Compass application will be removed if the option to uninstall 3rd party applications is selected.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available. Please see the following workaround below.
Perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry device software. To perform a device software reload on a Windows computer follow KB03621. To reload the device software on a Mac computer follow KB19915.
