"Error validating package cache" appears in the Policy log after indexing a new application

BlackBerry® Enterprise Server 4.1
After adding and indexing a new application to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server share for a software configuration, some applications are not delivered. The following log lines appear in the Policy Server log file:
[20000] (12/08 01:32:23.297):{0x1A20} Error validating package cache: C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\PackageCache\<application name> Error: The operation completed successfully.
[20000] (12/08 01:32:23.500):{0x1A20} Failed to InitializeSharedPackageSources for hardwareId 4000b04 and flashSize 65536.
Note: hardwareId and flashSize may be different.

There is a problem with files for the application indicated by the log lines.

Contact the application vendor for further assistance.
Remove the application from the share and re-index the applicatons.
