Unable to setup Calendar and or Contacts for a rogers.com account or btinternet.com account on the BlackBerry PlayBook

To add a rogers.com account or btinternet.com account to the BlackBerry PlayBook for Calendar and or Contacts synchronization, some manual configuration is required.

Please review the workaround section for detailed instructions.

Please follow the appropriate steps below to setup Calendar, and or Contacts synchronization for a rogers.com or btinternet.com account:

To add a rogers.com or btinternet.com Calendar account:

1. On the Home Screen, swipe down from the top bezel.
2. Click on Accounts.
3. Click on Add New Account.
4. Click on Email, Calendar and Contacts.
5. Click on Advanced Setup.
6. Scroll down and click on CalDAV.
7. On the Account Integration screen, the Description field is optional, but can be filled in for clarity.
8. Enter the full email address in the Username and Email Address fields.
9. Enter the password in the Password field. Use the Show Password checkbox to ensure it is correct.
10. In the Server Address field, enter caldav.calendar.yahoo.com.
11. Sync Interval can be changed with these values : 15 Minutes , 30 Minutes , 1 Hour , 2 Hours , 4 Hours , 24 Hours , or Manual . The default is 15 Minutes.
12. Click Save to finish.

To add a rogers.com or btinternet.com Address book account:

1. On the Home Screen, swipe down from the top bezel.
2. Click on Add New Account.
3. Click on Email, Calendar and Contacts.
4. Click on Advanced Setup.
5. Scroll down and click on CardDAV.
6. On the Account Integration screen, the Description field is optional, but can be filled in for clarity.
7. Enter the full email address in the Username and Email Address fields.
8. Enter the password in the Password field. Use the Show Password checkbox to ensure it is correct.
9. In the Server Address field, enter carddav.address.yahoo.com.

11. Click Save to finish.
