BlackBerry Desktop Software freezes after upgrading to

After upgrading BlackBerry® Desktop Software to, the BlackBerry Desktop Software freezes when the application is open. This issue occurs if a BlackBerry® smartphone is or is not connected.

This issue is caused by older Blackberry Desktop Software DMG files that exist in the users download folder and only effecting users with OS 10.5.
This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. A resolution is currently unavailable.
Complete the following steps to workaround the issue:

1. Navigate to the users download folder
2. Delete any existing BlackBerry Desktop Software DMG files in that folder (BlackBerry Desktop Software*.dmg (where * can range from to
3. Right click the Trash and select Empty Trash
4. Relaunch the BlackBerry Desktop Software
