BlackBerry PlayBook tablets activated to either a Microsoft Exchange Server or IBM Lotus Domino mail server via Microsoft ActiveSync may report an error when sending an email message. The message however, is successfully sent and the intended recipient receives multiple copies of the message.
The user may see a red X on the message in the Outbox and the following error message:
There was an interruption in sending this message. Please try again.
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution timeframe is currently available.
The mail item remains in the Outbox unless manually removed.
If the Playbook is connected directly to ActiveSync server through corporate WiFi or VPN, this issue is not seen.
If the ActiveSync profile is integrated manually rather than being pushed out by the BlackBerry Device Service this issue is not seen.
