When using the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ Browser over a BlackBerry® Bridge™ connection you may encounter the following error message: 

"Your wireless service provider does not support sharing your BlackBerry smartphone Internet connection with this tablet. You can use your BlackBerry smartphone to view this page."

CollapseCause
  • An Internet Tethering plan is required by your wireless service provider on the BlackBerry smartphone to use the BlackBerry PlayBook Browser over a BlackBerry Bridge connection.
  • An incorrect version of the BlackBerry Bridge application has been installed.

If you believe your wireless service provider does not have any restrictions on the BlackBerry Bridge Browsing feature try the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the BlackBerry Bridge application.
      a. On the My World screen in the App World application, highlight BlackBerry Bridge
      b. Press the Menu key > Delete
  2. Restart the BlackBerry Smartphone when prompted.
  3. Install BlackBerry Bridge from App World
      a. On the My World screen in the App World application, highlight BlackBerry Bridge
      b. Press the Menu key > Reinstall
