When synchronizing the calendar using BlackBerry Desktop Software displays a message to remove an event and re-synchronize

During the synchronization process the BlackBerry Desktop Software displays one of the following messages:

The following event could not be synced: <date - subject>. Remove the event and sync again.

or

The following recurring event could not be synced: <date - subject>. Remove the event and sync again.

There is a problem with the indicated record and the BlackBerry Desktop Software sync engine is unable to sync the record to the BlackBerry smartphone. Locate the record indicated in the message on the PC, remove or recreate the record and perform the sync again.

Note:

  • If the issue persists the series of appointments may have to be removed.
  • If the calendar entry does not appear for the date mentioned in the error message, it may be located on one of the historic dates according to the recurrence pattern.
  • It may be possible to simply remove the recurrence pattern rather than deleting the event.
