Unable to push applications via Software Configuration from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server

Applications fail to be deployed to BlackBerry smartphones via a Software Configuration. However, the Application Control Policies assigned to that same Software Configuration are successfully deployed to the users' devices.

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server Policy logs will show these errors:

CollapseCause

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account does not have the correct permissions to the application folder.

 

CollapseResolution

Verify the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account has the required permissions.

To allow permissions for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account to the application folder, perform the following steps:

  1. Right-click the folder that has been specified for the Application Shared Network Drive and select Properties.
  2. Click the Sharing tab.                
  3. Click Share this folder.
  4. Click Permissions.
  5. Select the Full Control (including Change and Read access) option for service account and close the Permissions window.
