Setting up an IMAP GoDaddy hosted email account on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone

If the GoDaddy hosted email account has paid IMAP access please follow these steps to set it up on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook.

From a BlackBerry 10 smartphone:

  1. Swipe down from the homescreen and select Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Accounts
  3. From the bottom menu tap Add Account
  4. From the bottom menu tap Advanced
  5. Tap the IMAP account type

From a BlackBerry PlayBook:

  1. Swipe down from the top bezel and select  Accounts
  2. Tap Add New Account
  3. Tap Email, Calendar and Contacts
  4. Tap Advanced Setup
  5. Tap the IMAP account type

Use the following settings to set up the IMAP GoDaddy hosted email account:

  1. Enter your email address in the Username field
  2. Enter your email address in the Email Address field
  3. Enter your password in the Password field
  4. Enter in the Server Address field
  5. Confirm that SSL is selected for Encryption and the Port is set to 993
  6. Enter in the SMTP Server Address field
  7. Confirm that SSL is selected for Encryption and the SMTP port is set to 465
  8. Modify the Sync Interval and Initial Retrieval Amount if desired
  9. Tap Done from the top right corner or Save from the bottom right corner
