How to confirm a BlackBerry ID account

To secure your BlackBerry ID account and ensure you are able to reset your password, use one of the following methods:

Note: The link to confirm the BlackBerry ID expires after 72 hours. If the BlackBerry ID account is not confirmed within 72 hours, a new confirmation email must be sent.

Method 1: Access the BlackBerry ID creation email and complete the following:

  1. Locate and open the email with the subject line of: Your BlackBerry® ID has been created
  2. Select the confirm your email address link.
  3. Enter the BlackBerry ID password and select Submit.

Method 2: To send a new confirmation email complete the following:

  1. Visit www.blackberry.com/blackberryid from any browser.
  2. Select Sign in.
  3. Enter the BlackBerry ID Username (email address) and Password, then click Sign In.
  4. Select Account Details.
  5. Under Email Status select the Confirm my email link and then OK.
  6. Log in to the email account and access the email from donotreply@blackberry.com with a subject of Confirm your BlackBerry ID email address.
  7. Within the email select the confirm your email address link.
  8. Enter the BlackBerry ID password and select Submit.
  9. When completed, Thank you for confirming your BlackBerry ID is displayed.

For BlackBerry 10.3 and later complete the following:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings > BlackBerry ID
  2. Tap the Confirm Email button. A confirmation message will be displayed
  3. Log in to the email account and access the email from donotreply@blackberry.com with a subject of Confirm your BlackBerry ID email address.
  4. Within the email select the confirm your email address link.
  5. Enter the BlackBerry ID password and select Submit.
  6. When completed, Thank you for confirming your BlackBerry ID is displayed.

Method 4: To confirm via BBM for Android or iPhone, complete the following:

  1. Within BBM tap the More button (3 vertical dots).
  2. Tap Settings then tap your BlackBerry ID.
  3. Enter the BlackBerry ID password and select Sign In.
  4. Beside the Email Status field, tap Confirm my email.
  5. In the BlackBerry ID email that you receive, select the confirm your email address link.
  6. Enter the BlackBerry ID password and select Submit.

To see if a BlackBerry ID account is confirmed, follow steps 1 through 4 under Method 2 and the Email Status field should show Confirmed.
