“You have reached the maximum number of PIN changes for this account” is displayed when attempting to login to BlackBerry World on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone

When attempting to log in to BlackBerry World with a BlackBerry ID, the following error is displayed:

You have reached the maximum number of PIN changes for this account.  Please visit
http://www.blackberry.com/appworld/support for more information.


The maximum number of PIN changes has been reached. 


If the above error message is observed on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone contact the service provider from which the BlackBerry 10 smartphone was purchased.

Service providers will need to engage BlackBerry Technical Support Services to assist with resolving this issue.
