With the introduction of the BlackBerry Z30 smartphone and BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2, support for USB peripherals has been added. This means that supported peripherals may be connected to the smartphone and used similarly as to they would with a computer.

List of supported peripherals:

  • USB flash drives
  • USB hard drives
  • USB networking
  • USB HID devices (keyboard, mice, gamepads)
  • USB hubs (powered and unpowered)

Note: With the use of a USB hub, multiple peripherals may be connected at the same time.

In order to support USB Embedded Host mode, a Micro USB OTG to USB 2.0 Adapter is required.
