Following the execution of the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 - Upgrade Checker the BES10_Upgrade_Checker.log reveals the following warning:

Warning - WD Install Folder is missing - C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10\Logs\Installer\BAS\WD

Attempt to upgrade BlackBerry Enterprise Service without creating BlackBerry Web Desktop folders will fail with MSI error.

Download the latest copy of the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 - Upgrade Checker from KB35673

Create the BlackBerry Web Desktop folders using the steps below:

  1. Determine the location of the Installer logs.
  2. Create the following folders under the \Installer folder: \BAS and \BAS\WD
     
    For Example:
    If the Installer logs are located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10\Logs\Installer then create the following folders:
    1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10\Logs\Installer\BAS\
    2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10\Logs\Installer\BAS\WD
  3. Re-run the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 - Upgrade Checker to ensure that the Warning no longer appears.
