Not added to BBM group if the group invite is received prior to, and accepted after completing a BBM upgrade

This will occur if a BBM Group invite is received prior to, and accepted after completing a BBM upgrade.

  1. Receive BBM Group invite.
  2. Complete an upgrade of BBM.
  3. Accept the BBM Group invite after the upgrade is completed.
  4. A toast is displayed stating "<user> is added to this group".

Although the message indicates the invite process completed successfully the user is not added to the BBM Group.

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
CollapseWorkaround

Perform one of the following workarounds to avoid this issue:

  • Accept the BBM Group invite before completing the BBM upgrade.
     
  • After completing the upgrade, reach out to the contact who sent the Group invite and ask them to send a new Group invite.
