Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones offers the following customization options. To modify these settings, from within Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones, press the Menu key and click Options.

- Allows you to identify which account you are currently logged in as offers the ability to Sign Out.
- Tweet Refresh in Background
- Allows you specify how often Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones checks for new Tweets, Replies and Mentions
- Available settings are; 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour
- Allows you specify how often Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones checks for new Tweets, Replies and Mentions
- Notify on new tweets
- Allows Twitter to notify you of new tweets
- Notify on replies and mentions
- Allows Twitter to notify you of new replies and mentions
- Posted by
- Allows you to select which notifications will be shown on replies and mentions
- Available options are; All Users, Following
- Allows you to select which notifications will be shown on replies and mentions
- Number of Tweets per refresh
- If automatic Tweet refreshing is enabled, this value is used to determine how many Tweets are obtained.
- Available options are; 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100
- If automatic Tweet refreshing is enabled, this value is used to determine how many Tweets are obtained.
- Integrate in Messages application
- Allows Twitter messages to appear in the BlackBerry Messages application when viewed
- Show Navigation Bar
- Show or hide the navigation bar in Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones
- Show tweet box on home screen
- Show or hide the tweet box on the home screen of Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones

- Allows Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones to upload photos to YFrog or Twitpic

- Clear the Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones cache on the BlackBerry smartphone
