Purge pending email messages on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server

To purge pending email messages when using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, complete the following steps for the appropriate version:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 2.0 to 2.2

  1. Open the Exchange Administrator.
  2. Click the Recipients container for the Microsoft Exchange site, where the BlackBerry smartphone user’s mailbox is stored.
  3. Open the properties for the BlackBerry smartphone user's mailbox.
  4. Click the BlackBerry tab.
  5. Click the Purge Pending button. Email messages that have not been sent to the smartphone are purged.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0

  1. Open the BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Right-click the user account and click User Stats.
  3. Click Purge Pending.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1

  1. Open the BlackBerry Manager.
  2. In the Explorer view, highlight the server.
  3. On the Users tab, highlight the user account.
  4. In the Tasks menu, expand Service Control and Customization and click Purge Pending Messages.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0

  1. Open the BlackBerry Administration Service.
  2. Click Manage users.
  3. Search for the affected user account by entering the criteria specific to that user and clicking Search.
  4. The search results will be displayed at the bottom of the page. Click the affected user's PIN.
  5. Under Pending data packets, select Purge pending data packets for device.

Purge pending data packets for multiple users

  1. Open the BlackBerry Administration Service.
  2. Click Manage users.
  3. Click Manage Multiple Users.
  4. Search for the affected user account by entering the criteria specific to that user and clicking Search.
  5. The search results will be displayed at the bottom of the page. Click the check boxes for the users you want to monitor.
  6. Under Pending data packets section, select Purge pending data packets for selected devices.
