How to configure wireless calendar synchronization on a BlackBerry smartphone

To enable wireless calendar synchronization, choose the method that corresponds to the following versions of BlackBerry® Device Software:


BlackBerry® 6 and BlackBerry® 7

To enable wireless calendar synchronization from a BlackBerry® smartphone, complete the following steps:

  1. From the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open Calendar.
  2. Press the Menu key and click Options.
  3. In the Calendar Options window, under Accounts select the desired calendar.
  4. Put a check mark beside Wireless Synchronization to enable it.
  5. Press the Menu key and select Save.

Wireless calendar synchronization is now enabled.

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5 to 5.0

To enable wireless calendar synchronization from a BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:

  1. From the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open Calendar.
  2. Press the Menu key and click Options.
  3. In the Calendar Options window, select the desired calendar.
  4. In the Calendar Properties, change Wireless Synchronization to Yes.
  5. Press the Menu key and select Save.

Wireless calendar synchronization is now enabled.

BlackBerry Device Software 4.0 to 4.2.2

To enable wireless calendar synchronization from a BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:

  1. From the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open Calendar.
  2. Press the Menu key and click Options.
  3. In the Calendar Options window, scroll to Wireless Synchronization.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Select Change Option and select Yes.
  6. Press the Menu key and select Save.

Wireless calendar synchronization is now enabled.

If there is no option to select Wireless Synchronization, that particular email account does not support wireless calendar synchronization.
