How to Import contacts from the SIM card to the BlackBerry smartphone contacts list

Contacts data from a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), card can be imported to the contacts list on the BlackBerry smartphone.

To import a single contact, complete the following steps:

  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open Contacts.
  2. Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
  3. Select the contact you want to import, then select Add to Contacts.
  4. In the New Address screen, type any additional information.

To import all contacts, complete the following steps:

  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, click Contacts.
  2. Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
  3. Display the menu and select Copy All To Contacts.
  4. Go back to the contact list and make sure all of the entries are displayed.

Note: Contacts in the contact list can be saved to the SIM card individually. Data from the contact list cannot be imported to the SIM card.

CollapseAdditional Information

If a contact list is blank, press the Menu key and navigate to Filter. Clear any filters that are selected.
