If email messages are not arriving on the BlackBerry smartphone and folder redirection is enabled, this might be caused by filters created by the user within Email Settings or on the BlackBerry smartphone. As a result, email messages are not forwarded to the BlackBerry smartphone.

See KB05095 for more information regarding setting up filters on the BlackBerry smartphone.

The Change Folder Redirection feature has been removed starting in BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0. The following features are no longer supported in BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0:

  • Control of email redirection status, including the ability to not forward messages when in cradle.
  • Email filter settings.
  • Control over the settings for saving sent messages

In BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange, messages in the following mailbox folders are not designed to be redirected to the BlackBerry smartphone.

  • Sent Items sub folders
  • Deleted Items and any sub folders
  • Drafts
