When the BlackBerry smartphone user locks the BlackBerry smartphone, the following prompt appears:
Enter PIN
When the BlackBerry smartphone user tries to use the security password that was set on the BlackBerry smartphone, the following error appears:
Incorrect Pin Entered
Security has been enabled on the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card of the BlackBerry smartphone.
It is not possible to unlock the BlackBerry smartphone until the SIM card is removed or the SIM card security PIN number is typed.
To disable the SIM Security:
- On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Click SIM card.
- Press the Menu key and click Disable Security.
- Type the Security PIN number.
If you remove the SIM card from the BlackBerry smartphone, you will be able to unlock the BlackBerry smartphone using the Security Password that was set by the user. If the Security PIN is lost, contact your wireless service provider.
