How to turn off the Smart Dialing feature on the BlackBerry smartphone

To turn off the Smart Dialing feature on the BlackBerry smartphone, perform the following steps:

For BlackBerry 10 OS

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Swipe down from the top and tap  Settings
  3. Tap Smart Dialing  Country Code.
  4. Select Unknown from the list of countries.
  5. Press the Back button to save the changes.

For BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 and  BlackBerry 6 to 7.1:

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Press the Menu key and select Options.
  3. Select Smart Dialing.
  4. Set the Country Code field to Unknown.
  5. Press the Menu key and select Save.

These steps could be used, for example, if a third party call forwarding solution is not working on the BlackBerry smartphone.
