When BlackBerry App World™ storefront is opened on the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ the application only displays the purple background (BlackBerry App World storefront's Default Background) and no menus, options, or functionality is available.

This has been resolved in BlackBerry® Tablet OS 1.0.5.2342.

Workaround 1

On the PlayBook perform the following steps:

  1. Open BlackBerry AppWorld storefront
  2. Minimize BlackBerry AppWorld storefront
  3. On the Home Screen, select the Settings icon
  4. Select Language
  5. Toggle the Current Language (Change it to another language then change it back to the language you prefer)

Workaround 2

  1. Clear the BlackBerry PlayBook's AppWorld cache. For how to reset the cache, follow KB24714 .
  2. Close and reopen BlackBerry AppWorld storefront
