CollapseOverview

When a stereo headset connector or a stereo headphone plug is inserted into the headset jack of either the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9350 smartphone or the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 smartphone, sound only comes out the left speaker.

CollapseCause
The BlackBerry® Handheld Software has detected the stereo headset as a mono headset and the audio signal is only sent to the left channel. This is dependent on the speed at which the headset jack is inserted into the BlackBerry smartphone. The slower the headset jack is inserted, the more likely it is that this mono audio behaviour will present itself.
CollapseResolution

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. A resolution is currently unavailable.

CollapseWorkaround
Remove the headset jack and reinsert it. When reinserting the headset jack, avoid inserting the headset slowly as this can cause the behaviour to occur again.
