When attempting to open BlackBerry App World™, the following error occurs.


BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again.

The email address associated with the BlackBerry® ID is updated to match one that was already used with an App World 1.0 account.

This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.

Workaround 1

Change the email address associated with the BlackBerry ID back to the original account

Workaround 2

Note: The BlackBerry smartphone may need to be wiped to change BlackBerry IDs

  • Create a new BlackBerry ID using a different email address KB24062
  • Login to App World on the BlackBerry smartphone using the new BlackBerry ID
