Error "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" is displayed when attempting to integrate an email account in the Email Setup application

When attempting to submit an email integration in the Email Setup application, the following error is displayed:

Your device had a problem connecting to the server.

This error occurs if a Subscriber ID is associated to the BlackBerry smartphone but not the Service Provider.
Contact your service provider for further assistance.

This issue can be caused when changing service providers and using the same BlackBerry smartphone.
