CollapseOverview
When inserting a microSD memory card that is larger than 32GB, the BlackBerry 10 smartphone indicates that it is not recognized and prompts to format the card.
CollapseCause
MicroSD cards larger than 32GB are pre-formatted using the ExFAT file system. BlackBerry 10 OS versions prior to 10.2.1.3175 did not support microSD memory cards that are formatted to ExFAT. Due to this fact, BlackBerry 10 smartphones which are running BlackBerry 10 OS versions prior to 10.2.1.3175 will prompt to format to a recognizable file system.
CollapseResolution

Upgrade the BlackBerry 10 smartphone to BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.1.3175 or later if it is available from your service provider.

CollapseWorkaround
To use an SD card larger than 32GB in a BlackBerry 10 smartphone, re-format the card to FAT32.
