How to restore ringtones to a BlackBerry smartphone

Ringtones are backed up in the content store database. This includes .Mp3 and .Mid ringtones.

Complete the following steps to restore a ringtone:

  1. Connect the BlackBerry® smartphone to a computer.
  2. Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  3. Double-click Backup and Restore.
  4. To restore specific BlackBerry smartphone data from a backup file, click Advanced.
  5. Select File from the menu, and click Open.
  6. Double-click a backup file.
  7. In the Desktop File Databases section, select the content store database.
  8. Click the Right Arrow icon to overwrite the database of the BlackBerry smartphone.
