PBX-initiated calls cannot be placed using the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System 5.0 Client

An incoming call to a BlackBerry MVS 5.0 extension cannot reach the BlackBerry smartphone.

When the BlackBerry Session Manager log file for the call is reviewed, the call leg between the PBX and BlackBerry smartphone’s mobile number is found to have resulted in a 404 – Not Found error message.

The following example from a BlackBerry Session Manager log shows the 404 - Not Found response:

CollapseCause

The BlackBerry MVS 5.0 SIP trunk is either not configured or incorrectly configured (reference to Cisco® App note).
