Error "Can't find location" is displayed in BlackBerry Travel

BlackBerry Travel app displays the error "Can't find location" when the Application does not detect the current location. This could occur because of:

  1. There is no GPS coverage in the current area.

    Without GPS coverage, BlackBerry Travel will be unable to find the current location of BlackBerry smartphone.

  2. Location Services on the BlackBerry smartphone have been disabled.

    Location services must be enabled on the BlackBerry smartphone to acquire a GPS location. If this option is disabled, BlackBerry Travel may not display an accurate location.

CollapseCause

  1. There is no GPS coverage in the current area.

    BlackBerry Travel may not be able to acquire a GPS location. Please ensure that you are located in an area with GPS coverage. For best results when trying to acquire a GPS location, it is recommended that you are located outside.

  2. Location Services on the BlackBerry smartphone have been disabled.

    If using BlackBerry® 6, complete the following steps, to enable Location Data:

    1. From the homescreen, select the Universal Search icon Type Location Services
    2. Select Options
    3. Select Location Settings
    4. Ensure Location Data is set to Location On

    If using BlackBerry handheld software 5.0:

    1. From the homescreen, select Options
    2. Select Advanced Options
    3. Select Location Settings
    4. Set Location Services to Location ON
